You may file your Declaration of Candidacy online on VoteWA's online candidate portal. Online filing begins Monday, May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes Friday, May 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Requirements to File Online

• Be registered to vote in the district for which you are filing
• If filing fee is applicable, you must pay with Visa, MasterCard or American Express
• Provide a valid email address
• Submission must be complete by 5 PM sharp on May 8th.

In-Person

File in-person at our office beginning Monday, May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM and closing Friday, May 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Mailed Declarations of Candidacy

Mailed Declarations of Candidacy may be submitted in advance beginning April 20, 2026. Declarations will be held in our office until filing opens on May 4, 2026. Any declaration received prior to that day will be returned and the candidate shall be permitted to re-submit their declaration during the filing period. 

All declarations must be received no later than 5:00 pm on the last day of filing. All mail-in declarations must include the filing fee, if applicable (Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 29A.24.081).
