Geospatial data relates to the geographic features and boundaries within an area. In Douglas County, the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Department manages and analyzes spatial data to create digital maps that incorporate information about land parcels, infrastructure, environment, and more. This data can assist in decision-making for areas like land use planning, emergency services, and resource management.

The GIS Department offers a range of GIS data and maps available to search and download. The Douglas County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department maintains web maps with layers of land data such as roads, parcel information, urban growth areas, and city and district boundaries.

In addition to maps and GIS data, the Division provides a variety of other services for unincorporated Douglas County. These include:
- Assigning new addresses and road names per standards specified in Douglas County Code Chapter 12.04 for Road Naming and Property Addressing,
- Correcting addresses and changing road names in conflict with standards stated in Douglas County Code Chapter 12.04.
