The Douglas County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan is our blueprint for reducing long-term risk from natural hazards. The plan guides projects that protect people, homes, infrastructure, and our economy-before disasters happen.
Public participation is essential. Getting the community involved helps us tap into local knowledge and experiences, and ensure we're protecting those most at risk.
