Construction on McNeil Canyon is scheduled to resume September 8th.
Douglas County has received an updated construction schedule from Scarsella Brothers, the contractor for the McNeil Canyon Road improvement project. Work is scheduled to resume on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302, District 5 voted this week to remain on strike. In response, Scarsella Brothers has assembled an alternate crew to move the project forward. According to the revised schedule, the contractor anticipates completing paving by late October, with final cleanup and project completion expected by mid-November.
