[ARCHIVED] Seasonal Weight Restrictions in Effect on County Roads

Seasonal weight restrictions are now in place on certain roads throughout Douglas County. These temporary restrictions are necessary to protect roadways softened by melting snow and runoff and can prevent potentially costly damage to the road.

View the list of roads with current weight restrictions and learn more on the Transportation & Travel Alerts page.

Only emergency response vehicles, school buses, and haulers displaying a permit are exempt from these weight restrictions. Seasonal permits are free and can be obtained directly from the Transportation Department’s Area Supervisor by calling the closest area shop:

  • Bridgeport Shop: 509-686-8989
  • East Wenatchee Shop: 509-884-3937
  • Waterville Shop: 509-745-8523

Typically, weight restrictions are posted in late winter or early spring and can go into June.

If you have questions for Douglas County Transportation regarding road weight restrictions, please fill out the Transportation contact form or call 509-884-7173.
