Construction on the 19th Street and NW Cascade Ave project resumed on Monday, March 3, 2025. Contractors will work along the shoulders of 19th Street NW, which includes constructing retaining walls and relocating utilities. Impacts to traffic will include single-lane closure (with detour) and one-way traffic patterns through the project site, and will likely remain in place for the duration of the project, which is anticipated to continue until the end of June.
This road improvement project, led by the City of East Wenatchee, started last August and involves widening the roadways, installing bicycle lanes and sidewalks, and creating a new stormwater facility. Traffic impacts
- Single-lane closures (with detour) and one-way traffic patterns through the project site
- Single-lane closure with alternating one-way traffic along NW Bates Ave near the intersection of 19th St NW
- Shoulder closure along NW Cascade Ave
- Week of March 31-April 4: Due to the nature of the utility installation work, increased delays to traffic of up to 20 minutes may occur between NW Bates Ave and Sunset Highway (SR28) from Tuesday April 1 through Friday April 4.
