[ARCHIVED] Press Release: Douglas County Case # 24D04150

Douglas County Sheriff's Office Press Release

On 8-11-24 at approximately 11:17 PM there were several reports of numerous shots fired near SR173 on the Bridgeport Bar. It was learned the shots were associated to 2 Richards Avenue and SR173 on the Bridgeport Bar, approximately 5 miles out of Bridgeport. It was also learned this was likely a gang related incident between two opposing factions.

An extensive investigation ensued, and investigators were able to identify the suspects involved and locations where evidence and suspects would likely be located. Search warrants were obtained. Due to the high risk of serving these warrants at multiple locations, DCSO requested the assistance of other agencies and resources to serve the warrants and arrest the persons involved.

On 8-21-24 at approximately 4:00 AM, two high-risk search warrants at two separate locations were served simultaneously. The warrants were served without incident. The warrant services resulted in the recovery of firearms and ammunition, which included stolen firearms. The warrant service also resulted in the arrest of:

  • Rosendo Saucedo Jr., a 28-year-old male out of Bridgeport for drive-by shooting, unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, two counts of assault in the first degree and violation of a DV protection order with two prior convictions.
  • Ivan Garcia-Ramirez, a 29-year-old male out of the Bridgeport Bar for obstructing a law enforcement officer and making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.

A third suspect, Ruben Garcia-Ramirez was not at either location at the time of the warrant service. An arrest warrant for 2 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment, aiming or discharging a firearm and dangerous weapons was obtained. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Ruben Garcia-Ramirez please call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Tip line (509) 699-3283.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the following agencies and resources for their assistance, without their assistance, this warrant service operation would not be possible. East Cascade SWAT Team, Yakima SWAT, Kittitas County SWAT, FBI SWAT, Columbia River Drug Task Force, Washington State Patrol, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, Wenatchee PD, East Wenatchee PD, RiverCom, Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, HSI Homeland Security, Ballard Ambulance, Bridgeport Fire, and Okanogan County Fire District 15.
