[ARCHIVED] Trail Closure on East Wenatchee Side Scheduled for Wednesday, September 4

Graphic with words

Portions of the Apple Capital Loop Trail in East Wenatchee will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

The closure, affecting the stretches from Hydro Park to 3rd Street SE and from 9th Street NE to the Odabashian Bridge, is necessary for Douglas County Transportation crews to apply a fog seal treatment designed to improve and protect the pavement.

Access Points Available

During the closures on the East Wenatchee side, pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the Old Wenatchee Bridge (Pedestrian Bridge) connection at 9th Street NE. Additionally, the Odabashian Bridge will remain accessible from the trail segment north of the highway. The public is urged to follow all posted signs and to avoid walking or riding on the freshly-treated pavement for safety and preservation of the work.

This trail maintenance work is being done in partnership with the City of East Wenatchee. The trail maintenance on the Douglas County segments of the Apple Capital Loop Trail is made possible in part by a grant from the Complete the Loop Coalition.
