The Douglas County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan is our blueprint for reducing long-term risk from natural hazards.  The plan guides projects that protect people, homes, infrastructure, and our economy-before disasters happen.  

Public participation is essential.  Getting the community involved helps us tap into local knowledge and experiences, and ensure we're protecting those most at risk.  Your participation also helps us partner with neighboring communities and organizations while meeting the requirements needed to secure funding for projects that keep everyone safe.  Learn more about the HMP here.
