On April 22, representatives from the Washington Department of Commerce attended the Douglas County Regional Council Meeting and presented information about the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update to the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners and the mayors from Bridgeport, Mansfield, City of East Wenatchee, Town of Waterville, and the City of Rock Island.

Commerce staff, Steve Davenport discussed the Urban Growth Boundary (UGA) and Jo Anne Wright gave a presentation on the Periodic Update as required by the Growth Management Act (GMA). The meeting was attended by various members of the community and gave the attendees and residents the opportunity to question the staff and the Commerce Department.
