The Douglas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) was established by Ordinance CE No. 23-01-31B on August 29, 2023. The lodging tax is not a new tax; it is an existing, state-authorized excise tax that Douglas County established locally in 2023.
Douglas County is now seeking interested applicants to serve on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The Committee will help guide the distribution of lodging tax revenues to support tourism, activities, events, and economic development initiatives that benefit our communities.
In accordance with RCW 67.28.1817, the Committee shall consist of at least five members. Membership must include at least two representatives of businesses required to collect lodging tax, at least two individuals involved in activities authorized to be funded by lodging tax revenues under this chapter, and one elected official (County Commissioner), who shall serve as Chair of the Committee.
Douglas County is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for this newly established Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.
