Douglas County, led by the Sheriff’s Office, is updating its Multi-Jurisdictional HMP this spring and summer to better protect residents, infrastructure, and the local economy from natural disasters. The HMP serves as the community’s roadmap for reducing long-term risks and ensures continued eligibility for FEMA mitigation grants that fund protective projects.
Public input is encouraged to help strengthen community resilience and guide priorities in the updated plan.
