
Disposal of household hazardous waste at the Douglas County Moderate Risk Waste Facility is available to any resident of Douglas County. We ask that you give a small donation to use the facility to support continued safe disposal services.

Please note: Hours of operation are set by Douglas County and subject change due to holidays, inclement weather, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances. Please check our webpage for the most up-to-date schedule before visiting, or call the number listed above.
Fee: The facility is free to Douglas County residents. A $10 donation is suggested.
Remember these guidelines before you make a trip to the MRWF:
- Don't mix products
- Keep products in original containers when possible. Label products that are not in original containers.
- Secure products so they don't leak or tip over.
- Containers should be non-leaking and 5 gallons or less in size.
- Transport similar products upright in cardboard boxes for safe, easy unloading.
When you arrive at the MRWF:
- Arrive during operating hours and pull forward under the canopy. Remain in your vehicle at all times.
- Have your ID ready to confirm that you are a Douglas County resident.
- Remain in your vehicle while trained staff safely unload material.
- NO SMOKING ON THE PREMISES AT ANY TIME.
